High-Profile Kimaryos to Remember
Muhidin Kimaryo
A former Cabinet Minister in Tanzania and Brigadier General in the Tanzania Peoples Defence Force. Played very considerable role on the Tanzania political arena and propelled the Kimaryo clan on to the world stage.
Sylvan Kimaryo
A Mechanical Engineer and former Director of Operations of Tanzania National Electricity Supply Company (TANESCO) of which he was one of its founding local engineers. He led the implementation of rural electrification program in Tanzania and engaged actively in wildlife conservation issues in the country and Africa at large. At clan level, Engineer Kimaryo made invaluable contribution to uplifting from poverty, of many economically disadvantaged members of the Kimaryo clan.
